Empire

Power, legacy and the passage of time.

Empire is a standalone sculptural series reflecting on the rise and fall of civilizations. Through figures inspired by Rome, Athens and Liberty, the series explores the fragile relationship between power, identity and the passage of time.

Rather than celebrating the grandeur of empires, these works consider what remains when their authority begins to fade. Strength and vulnerability coexist, suggesting that even the most enduring symbols are subject to change.

The Sculptures

Each sculpture offers a different interpretation of a familiar historical or symbolic figure. The emphasis is not on literal reconstruction, but on silhouette, posture and emotional presence.

Restrained details, hand-worked surfaces and carefully chosen finishes create a dialogue between idealized forms and the marks of time. The figures are intended to feel both recognizable and slightly unfamiliar.

From Concept to Sculpture

The series begins with the exploration of historical imagery, symbolism and sculptural form. Digital design helps establish composition and proportion before selected concepts are developed into physical sculptures.

Material choices follow the structural and expressive needs of each work. Bronze and mixed media allow different approaches to surface, weight and finish, with extensive handwork remaining central to the finished sculpture.
